The chairman welcomed Ms Terri Me= echan and Miss Sarah-Jane Spence. Ms Meechan introduc= ed Miss Spence as the Miss Middleton / Cottingham representative for the Carnival Queen competition and outlined her role. = p>

6. Cottingham and Middleton New Village Hall Projec=
t:
Cllr Phillipson reported that all 106 monies have now = been received by CBC and will be forwarded to the Parish Council account. Also t= hat he and Mr Allsop had met with the architects Gotch, Surridge Saunders to look at design brief and initial= costings.
7. Highways:
Cllr Phillipson informed the Council that he had writt= en to Cllr Bob Seary (NCC Leadership Support) regardi= ng the footpath and kerb damage to School Hill.
Cllr Phillipson stated that the Middleton Village Sign supplied by CBC was unsuitable for the site and said he would look into cos= ts for a ‘lollipop’ style sign for next meeting (action DP).
A letter had been received from NCC Rights of Way stat= ing that they would look into the surface water along the footpath this month. =
8. Dog Fouling:
Still awaiting a
response from Peter Neale (CBC Environmental
Protection Manager) as to whether the Borough Council would commit to empty=
ing
the dog fouling bins provided by the Parish Council.
